Kuźnice – Murowaniec – Stawy Gąsienicowe – Karb – Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy – Murowaniec – Kuźnice
If you already know your limits in Tatras let’s go for this more challenging hike. It leads through one of the most beautiful valleys in Tatra mountains, Gąsienicowa Valley, with the highest number of mountain lakes in the Polish Tatras.
The Valley is divided into two halves by the enormous Kościelec ridge. One one side there are many smaller or bigger post glacial lakes and after hiking up to Karb pass, our highest destination on this tour, we walk steep slopes down towards wonderful Black Lake in the other half of Gąsienicowa Valley.
On this hike we stop twice in Murowaniec mountain lodge. There is a restaurant running where you can get warm food and drinks.
Kuźnice – Hala Kondratowa – Przełęcz Pod Kopą – Czerwone Wierchy – Kiry
This position takes us to the top of West Tatras and leads us through a long ridge of Czerwone Wierchy – Red Peaks. This trail goes along the border line with Slovakia and on one side we have a view of Slovak Tatras and its surrounding and on the other side we look towards the Polish side.
We start in Kuźnice and soon we pass Kondratowa meadow. Like every other meadow in Tatras this used to be a sheep grazing spot. Next 20 minutes of an easy hike changes into a steep slope which we need to hike up towards Kondratowa pass.
After reaching the fourth Red Peak we start a long, steep hike down to Kościeliska Valley and eventually Kiry.
Siwa Polana – Starorobociańska Dolina – Starorobociański Wierch – Czubik – Dolina Chochołowska – Siwa Polana
